Corrugated Metal Gasket with Facing

XY-MG-CMG

A corrugated metal core gives support; the soft facing seals

This gasket has a formed, corrugated metal core with soft facing material on the sealing surfaces. The core provides support and some resilience, while the facing conforms to small surface irregularities. The design is used for sealing piping and equipment flanges.

  • Corrugated metal coreGives support and some resilience
  • Soft facingHelps the gasket conform to the flange surface
  • Holds its shapeEasy to handle and install

Features

  • The corrugated core combines structural support with the ability to accommodate some deformation.
  • Soft facings improve conformity to the flange surfaces.
  • The metal core improves shape retention and handling stability compared with unreinforced soft gaskets.
  • Core material, corrugation geometry, and facing material can be selected for the application.

Standards & supply options

  • Made to equipment drawings, with selectable core thickness, corrugation geometry, facing and joint design.

Typical applications

  • Flange joints in piping, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
  • Equipment requiring controlled gasket thickness or shape stability and providing the minimum seating load specified for the selected product.
  • Industrial joints requiring large-diameter or nonstandard gasket profiles.

Selection & service notes

The corrugated core and facing work together, with a load response distinct from grooved and jacketed constructions. Selection includes flange rigidity, surface roughness, minimum seating load, cyclic duty and equipment design.

Dimensions & specifications

Detailed specification tables are being prepared. Include dimensions, thickness, mating flange, materials and service conditions in your enquiry.
